Believing that a healthy, coherent and synergistic entrepreneurship ecosystem is key to starting a grassroots entrepreneurial movement in Egypt and starting to show economic impact out all the entrepreneurship activities taking place, Egypreneur decided to pursue long term interest in analyzing, categorizing and mapping the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Egypt. Furthermore, Egypreneur LLC was established to serve as a One-Stop-Shop for entrepreneurs in Egypt which made this interest even more sustainable with long term interest from the organization leading the project.

We mean by the Entrepreneurship Ecosystem in Egypt: The set of naturally assembled entities that’s engaged in a form of direct or indirect interaction with entrepreneurs at different phases of development in different sectors, clusters or geographical areas.

Phase I of The Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Mapping Project was conceived November 2011 when we identified and profiled 370+ entities supporting Egyptian entrepreneurs including a few global support models/examples worth looking at as case studies. The project was extended in two phases till the end of 2013 and accumulated 1000+ records of entities with interest in entrepreneurship in Egypt with their services, products, contacts .etc
