Course contents:
1. Concepts
Understanding the fundamental principle of business strategy, the different views on economic rents and role of competitive advantage in the survival of your business. How strategic analysis works starting with industry structure, competitive dyanmics and firm capabilities.
2. Tools
You’ll learn to use Poter’s Five Forces Analysis to analyze industries, Competitive Life Cycle Analysis to check on the competitive dynamics within industries and Firm Capabilities Analysis to understand the readiness of your business to complete in its domain.
3. Process
We will cut the chase and starting using the five step process designed by A.G. Lafley P&G’s CEO and Roger Martin at “Playing to win” to organize our thoughts and tools we learnt in a step-by-step process to engineer a new strategy initiative.
4. Exercises
Strategy is a combination of decisions, we’ll learn the tools and techniques to take decisions related to your buisness’ Scope, Positioning, Pricing and Strategic Relationship using basic logic and a little bit of game-theory.
